报告人简介

  王接词,湖南师范大学教授,主持国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金和湖南省杰出青年科学基金,担任湖南省物理学会副秘书长。研究领域是相对论量子信息、黑洞物理与引力波。以第一作者或通信/共同通信作者在Physics Reports、Astrophysical Journal Letters、Physical Review A/D等期刊发表论文50余篇,单篇最高他引400余次。



报告简介

  Quantum sensing is a quantum technology that uses quantum systems, quantum properties or quantum phenomena to improve the measurement accuracy of physical quantities. Recently, quantum sensing has emerged as a unique and rapidly growing branch of research in the field of quantum science and technology. As one of the most important tasks of quantum sensing, quantum illumination is an entanglement assisted target detection scheme that uses an optimal quantum receiver and has a good advantage over the optimal classical strategy in terms of error exponent. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the recent progresses on the study of quantum enhanced illumination and quantum ranging in the near-Earth curved spacetime. Particularly, I will focus on how the gravitational effect of the Earth influences the performance of the quantum illumination and  ranging protocol. Additionally, I will also introduce the effect of the gravity-induced quantum decoherence on the precision of quantum sensing tasks.
